1892-09-03Engine No. 61 hauled the 21-car special train of the C.A.R. employees' picnic to Clark Island, prettily decorated with red, white and blue ribbons.
The item itself is undated; the picnic was held on Saturday, September 3, 1892 (see the company-level fact on the picnic).

1893-08-08Locomotive No. 61 was in the sheds for a thorough overhauling; already "the monster" had been greatly reduced in bulk until only the boiler and flues remained, and a new firebox was to be placed in her and new tires set on the drivers.
