1886≥Billy Gall, described as one of the early Canada Atlantic firemen, was the first man to fire a coal-burning freight engine out of Ottawa on the C.A.R. He was already a freight fireman with the railway by 1886, when Harry Brown joined.
The coal-burning first has no date of its own; the bound comes from Brown joining in 1886. Read from https://sites.google.com/site/canadaatlanticry/people/people-g/billy-gall
