| 1893-11-03 | Only one station was planned between Arnprior and Renfrew, at New Glasgow (the Journal of August 3 puts it ten miles above Arnprior; the Journal of October 31 has it "equally distant" from both towns). On October 9 chief engineer Mountain said the building of the New Glasgow station would begin that day; by November 3 the Journal and Almonte Gazette were reporting the station "half way between Arnprior and Renfrew". A November 5 report says "two stations for the O.A. & P.S. Ry. went through [Arnprior] on a flat car ... all ready to be put together"; the source does not say which. | Ottawa Journal 1893-08-03(Mr. Mountain: one station between Arnprior and Ren...),Ottawa Citizen 1893-10-09(Transcribed by Colin J. | 1894-02-16 | The O.A. & P.S. station here (New Glasgow) is about completed, and will soon be ready for occupation. It is a fine structure and a credit for both company and contractor. Besides, we have the most obliging and gentlemanly agent on the line. | Mercury 1894-02-16(Transcribed by Colin J. Churcher in 'Local Railway...) |
