1893-09-15At Kinburn, B.W. Dunnett's elevator was in course of erection, to have a capacity of twenty-five thousand bushels when completed; Foreman W. Winchester with a gang of twelve men was building a siding to the elevator and making other improvements such as gravelling the yard and grading the roadways to the station and elevator. By October 2 the new station yard and grain elevator were "making rapid strides towards completion".
An Almonte Gazette item of 1893-02-24 reports Mr. B.W. Dunnet erecting a granary at Kinburn for grain likely to be shipped by the new railway; the sources do not say whether this is the same building.
